Hey everybody

I have a client who's new premises seems to be in a bit of a dead zone. What's weird is the signal is poor across all networks. It's not close to an airport and I'm not aware of any BAE types around. It's also in the middle of a developed industrial area.

This is not really my field of expertise, does anybody have any ideas what steps I could take to resolve this apart from contacting the cell phone companies?

i'm guessing if you are using an LTE modem device for internet connectivity you could possible make use of an external antennae which you can get from poyinting. if the poor signal is on the handsets the only thing you can really do is log a request with the mobile networks to come do a signal inspection, then usually they can offer a booster of some sort to sort out the signal issues, MTN did this for me at my house, and the booster is working perfectly.

It's on mobile devices even outside. I can understand if it was just say Mtn but it's all of them. The chances of all of them not having their spread correct is pretty small.

The smallest gap I've seen was at a friend's Granny Flat he rented. It was a converted garage and the reception dropped badly for the width of that building, so about 4metres. They also installed a booster for him.

Go do a walkabout in the area looking for the towers. They normally have a notice on which provider it is.
There are also apps that can show you where the tower is that you are connecting to.

Just a quick update. Went to the site just now and everything is fine. Thinking maybe a few towers went out in the area.
