I'm looking to get some information on how someone would go about getting a cell reception booster installed.
I did find a post saying mail vodacomdata on this forum and he/she would look into it but have had no response.
I work for a company called Link Africa some may know us some might not, we are currently rolling out FTTH services in Constantia in Cape Town. Well we are rolling it out in all major cities. Anyhow We installed in an estate called Silverhurst, its up market super rich estate that has little to no cell reception at all. The residents on the estate are constantly complaining about bad cell coverage and to be honest I had a hard time getting stuff done there as i never had access to a phone while deploying in the area.
There was a plan by Vodacom and MTN to pop up 9m poles to help but someone in the surrounding area objected so no poles for them. I have read that you can get an antenna attached to your house and it help, well it helps if it can if not then tough luck i guess. What id like to do is get information to pass to the estate so they can make a plan to get something sorted out on this estate.
