Had the same issue. Went to MC and they replaced the decoder for me. The firmware is also buggy on the 4U's.

So how is that cheapie HD decoder though? What package are you running ie. How many channels are taking advantage of that HD picture?

As mentioned in the initial post, the HD channels are great. Most of the SD channels are "normal" as if watching on an SD decoder, except for the problems I identified above. I have a premium subscription.
