Purchased 6,5kW inverter from Esquire
Installed on 15th June, along with 5100wH SHOTO battery and 4 x 550 watt PV panels
Tested ok
Customer noticed on 17th June, during blackout, AC went off after 45 mins
Called round, checked battery at 53.8V
Tested with mains off. AC on and battery dropped to 53.6 after 20 mins
At 35 mins, AC went off, battery went back to 53.7
Contacted Esquire (Shana). He blamed battery
Fitted new SHOTO batter, let it charge for 3 days
Tested on 22nd June. AC went off after 22 mins
Returned to Esquire Cape Town on 23rd June
Since then, no word from Esquire Jhb. Emails (4) ignored, no-one available on phone (4 calls)
Tried to speak to management. Not available, will call back. Nothing
Cape Town office clueless, "there is nothing we can do"

Unsurew why this is in the news section ... :/

But - could it not be the battery size and the inverter needs a 'minimum' size intalled ?

I had tripping issues with a single battery - but added another and so far, no issues. It wasn't the capacity that got me, but I *think* it was the currrent needed.

First, what is your load and battery size, second this shouldn't be in Broadband and IT News

Is that one of their Esener or SAColar inverters? Does it have comms with the Shoto?
