We all should move out of the way of taxis whilst they are trying to transport ppl. Like we are not transporting ourselves

Even cyclist should get out of the f#$%ing yellow lane, such that taxis can use these at full speed.

When is the gvt going to clamp down on these behaviour of the taxis. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER....

Cause they are allowed to drive that way, their lack of license indicates so.

By 2010 taxis will have full rights to use the yellow lane as they please to transport the soccer fans to their destination on time.
 
I love it when I drive my dads old bakkie. I usually drive half in the normal lane half in the yellow lane...

Then you must hear them lying on their hooters. I then just put my dads bakkie into reverse and they shut the f$$%k up.

We should stand together. If everyone stands together and not give them way, they will start backing down... come on ppl help me, help us

Also another trick, is when they pull over in front of you, just drive past them and reverse until you against their taxi, they then cant move forward... you must hear them yell then..

I love to hear them hoot and yell... f4$5king moron twits they are...
I think taxi drives are the lowest form of life after tow truck drivers

those yellow lanes should be used for transportation of ppl

even after the world cup and before it
not just during the world cup

i understand you okes think you own the road and should block these taxi's but i think that they should be giving yellow lanes to drive in

would cause less accidents and ppl would get around safely

I concur ... use the entire road ...
and ... a new "yellow lane" will be formed automatically where required, and we can then just tar those portions.

When cars start smashing into cars that broke down and pulled over into the old yellow lane, then we'll make a pullover lane in the area's where this occurs more than twice.

/me for minister of transport !

OH ... tourism is given 8 billion for the sole purpose of building bicycle and pedestrian only roads.
The rest of the rubbish tourism programs that get 12 bill a year are cancelled and full page worldwide sunday-times adverts are placed advertising the cycling roads.

On a stretch of the N2 in CTP there is or was a dedicated lane for taxi's or busses anyone seen them using it ? 4 years ago when I was living in CPT they definately didnt use it.
 
I prefer the taxi's off the normal road. I travel the M1 everyday and the taxi's used to speed down the emergency lane staying out of traffic. Now the Metro Cops have started fining them and they are in traffic causing chaos changing lanes every millisecond cutting in front of people.

I am all for having one lane for the idiots.

Indeed, a lot of 1st world countries accross the world have this.
 
a single lane for all taxis is a good idea. Also a blanket ban on all heavy trucks that are not capable of maintaining minimum speeds uphill should be imposed during peak hours. Will sort out traffic congestions quite nicely - and probably reduce accidents as well.
