You can share the cache folder on the popcorn time laptop and play that over the network.
Please refrain from using only capitals in the title.
Other method would be hooking up an HDMI cable from your laptop.
Thank you, I guess I will just resort to HDMI not sure about sharing the cache folder, don't know how to do that

Why on earth would you put popcorn on your TV? You realize it would just drop to the floor.

No, but you can run a media server like Plex , Xbmc/Kodi on your PC and stream from there
Someone asking if Popcorn time works certainly doesn't want to spend any money whatsoever.

It uses WebOs, don't know if this is an Android software or not. But thanks for your input. I will attempt to check it out.

I also bought a LG smart TV and I use a chromecast to stream popcorn time it work very well and no problems. NetFlix can't be loaded onto the TV because it is geoblocked on the TV's firmware. I also use chromecast to stream netflix. I use the chromecast to stream local content from my PC or network hard drive to my TV.

Couple of things;
Popcorn Time
+’s;
It’s really clean; great application and it’s free of popups.
I like the toggle option between 720P & 1080P on some movies
-‘s;
Lack some content.
Searching for content sometimes just generate an error.
Recently provided an error where it didn’t show any movies, only TV Episodes.
That initial small download the application does before it plays some movies can become tedious at times. (Something really old with very little seeds takes longer I suppose)
The below 2 solutions really work well for me;
1. I use a streaming website called Moviesplanet.
I mainly use this for all streaming of series. (but it does have everything)
+’s:
It’s got everything you can think of and you can search everything
The search function is perfect.
It has all the newest content.
Simple register and login and you are good to go.
Can be accessed on anything that has HTML. (Including over a PS4 or Smart TV)

It creates a popup every time before playing a movie that you then have to close. (not porn, usually a guy that wants to help you win big with playing online stocks)
This is irritating and they do have a ‘Premium’ cost to remove popups.
2. I Use Plex for an internal media server at my home
This works really well for those classic HD movies you want to keep on your home PC in case (a)You run out of bandwidth, (b) your network is down, (c) you enjoy watching so it becomes pointless to stream & (d) you like having an HD collection of some classics.
Works over HTML (PS4, mobile devices or Smart Tv)
Plex is just really great and it's so easy to stream any of your home media from anywhere.
