Anyone using Popcorntime? and what would the risks be? also would you still need Netflix?

And Popcorntime VS Netflix? why would you have netflix then? honestly, the reason I ask is coz I went through all the effort to get the VCC and Unotelly and all that, and only found Popcorntime afterwards.... the first movie I searched came up in Popcorntim in 720 and 1080... but not yet in Netflix....

whats your opinion on this?

Popcorn Time is essentially the same as downloading torrents 'out in the open'. You leave a footprint when you don't mask your torrent downloads and that's why some people get strongly worded emails from providers or media companies every now and again (actually haven't seen an example of this in a few years so don't know if it's still happening).

Other than that, I'd only worry when there's any possible chance of anybody enforcing copyright breaches (not anytime soon here).

Other thing I've seen with Popcorn Time is that every now and again you will find content with no reliable torrents to stream from and therefore you're unable to watch.

I do think it's a great application though!

I didn't even know PopcornTime uses torrents, thanks for the headsup.

I always thought its just a watered down version of Netflix. Downloading has become a serious pain in the ass though. If I can't stream something I leave it. Yes I'm fscking lazy :D

At least now I can stream via PT if and when I can't find something on Netflix
