Greetings all.

I am looking to invest into a game that has some decent local action. I bought brink and got bored of it and the servers seem to be 50/50.

Once I bought operation flashpoint and well, there was no local communities.

so my question is this, I'm looking for a FPS game to buy and play on local servers but which of these is the most popular? (I dont really like TF2)

If you feel I'm being lazy because I could have just researched it..
well...
http://games.saix.net/
all the servers there show 0 players (least they do for me). So... any games that are currently busy? or the servers are full alot of the time?

Many thanks

cod4 for now. Check out igame's IP range. There are always about 50 people online, even at 3 in the morning on the promod servers.

Everyone is waiting for BF3 for the moment...

there is BFBC2,it needs a really decent PC and it needs a bit of international to send stats data.if i were you i would rather wait for BF3.going to need a power house of a PC to play that game XD.can't wait.

Team Fortress 2! Its free2play on Steam and fun as hell.

Mweb have peering issues with SAIX so most servers played on are generally IS and WAGE.

Counterstrike Source is quite popular and is more social (lots of chat).

2 games:
cod Black OPS or COD 4 (I consider this 1 game :) )
Battlefield Bad company 2 (note battlefield 3 coming out)

NB both games require different playstyles.

COD in general requires less team work and is sometimes the lone wolf sort of game. Cod4 had the best small maps kinda like a knife fight in a phone booth with 16 guys. Black ops have badly designed maps (spawn kills are common)
BFBC2 is more team and class based action and has massive maps. A very good game especially rush mode with friends.

i find myself playing more BFBC2 these days.

wow alright thank you.

I'll wait for BF3 then (25 sept I believe) and play TF2 for now.
Thanks for the info and heads up.
