Porsche facing mass layoffs

Declining sales but jacking up prices rapidly? Something tells me they're repositioning themselves as a more luxury brand than they already are.

I was playing with the configurator this morning. Fsck me sideways. They got expensive.

How? They didnt sell enough GT3RS's?
they started selling too many SUVs and even f-ing EVs ... let's not even mention the abomination of a sedan they have

that's not why people look at Porsche, who the 'F' watches them win Le Mans and goes "you know what, I reckon an SUV by those chaps or a ghay EV would be great to buy!"

noone, that's who, it's a racing brand, sell sports cars FFS!

its an abomination, should never have existed

like the latest Siamese twins on a Huisgenoot front page ... sure everyone likes to look at them, but we all know how it ends

ditto for Lambo and Ferrari's sedan and SUV abominations btw

It’s about selling more cars to your existing clientele instead of giving the sales away to the competition.

And scoring a few new customers along the way.

Same reason the Urus exists.

Sort of, it started that way with the Cayenne, now it is about selling as many cars to the same customers, repeatedly, with promises they'll get on the list for something like a GT3 RS. The market has been flooded with 'cheaper' Porsches so I am not surprised sales are on the decline...

The Chinese are eating them up; the time of us paying for European expensive labour and energy rip-off is over.
