Has anybody had issues with V3G while running an HTTP server on the same PC?

I heard someone complain about it. (I have not yet checked it out myself)

I know you _could_ just change IIS's port, but then you would need to add the port number everytime!!! {such a shlep}

Seriously, does the vodaphone software use port 80 for some reason?

Nope, its not skype. Has to be offline to startup IIS, and IIS has to be stopped to go online. (Not sure if datacard has to be removed)

Perhaps you are referring to M$.NET Framework with an old version of the Dashboard that had compression in it...?

The problem is not with starting IIS but rather with getting ASP.Net website to run. I have had no problems to date with IIS and the datacard working on the same machine. Are you possibly running SP2 of Windows XP with the firewall enabled ? I know this sometimes cause issues. Feel free to PM me and I am happy to try and help.

I am sortof sitting in the middle of this problem, its my colleague's PC. (And he only helped me out this week)

The notebook has W2K (probably server & SP4) on, not sure if the .NET framework is installed.

After changing IIS's port to 8080, everything is working fine. What I dont understand, is TCPView does not show any listening connections on port 80, but aparantly before IIS' port was changed, it gave the error "port is in use" until either IIS service or the dashboard was stopped.

The notebook was reformatted and loaded with the downloaded 0006 version. This is pretty weird, I think.

I mailed him a link to the post about connecting without the dashboard. Its an idea.

I dont mind carrying on on the forum - it could be of help to someone else.

THANKS for the ideas so far!
