Port a 0861 number

Hi,

My company has a 0861 number with a certain Voip provider.I would like to know if its possible to port this number to another company ? It was implemented by a external consultant without my knowledge , so i want to be able to take control of this , and migrate to our external voip supplier.

0861 numbers are Telkom numbers which you can only forward to Telkom numbers.

Did you own the 0861 number before you took up the service or did they procure it on your behalf?
