Port availability in Midrand

I was told there are no ADSL ports available in Midrand of all places by Telkom when I ordered my line last week.

I know there are some helpful guys on the forums connected with Telkom who can maybe find out if this is true and how long it may take for ports to become available?

Can't live with 3G, need my ADSL Any help will be much appreciated.

I actually don'e know. I just moved here and don't have a line or anything, but I am just down the road from Vodaworld if that helps at all.

Just to let you know there are a quite a few large companies in the area, most use either bonded adsl or fibre!!!

This may take quite a lot of ports on the exchange

I know. Still, where most companies see high demand they increase their ability to supply that need. Telkom hardly seem to give a s**t. It's not like suddenly there are no ports available, they should have foreseen this and started upgrading months ago. Sigh - I'll hang on patiently with my 3G until they get this sorted.
