Port Elizabeth DA Performance

When will we get an indication of how well the DA are actually performing in these areas?

We all know Helen Zille has spoken even before claiming the Western Cape that the party goals were clear and cut from the start.

1) Win Cape Town and smaller towns/municipalities. (2006)
2) Win Western Cape and continue to perform better in other nationwide municipalities (2008)
3) Win another large city focusing on another province the way they did the WC. (NEXT)
4) Win some form of majority via coalition government (2014)

Not really looking at a DA vs other parties discussion here but just rather just how the DA would be expected to perform in Nelson Mandela Bay during the next local government elections.

Unfortunately they will never win the NMB metro. The Eastern Cape is a traditional stronghold of the ANC with PE being no exception.

The DA will win a few wards as they and their predecessors (PFP, DF, etc) have always done, even in the days of the Nat government. But it will be a VERY long time before the DA have an outright majority here.

More likely to win Northern Cape and then Gauteng than PE, I think...
