Port Elizabeth Load Shedding Schedule

The strange thing is my dad lives 3 min from me lol.
Same. These schedules are definitely not based on physical infrastructure layouts though. I'm a stone's throw away from my parents but all the infrastructure is different...pretty sure we don't even get water from the same dam.

Power came back here at 20:05. What's interesting is that I assume the 041 360 exchange went down at 18:52 at least that's when the router disconnected. By the time the router could reconnect (20:06 according to the logs) it had cycled through a number of backup accounts and finally came back up on axxess capped.

Happy with my UPS systems but it seems Telkom might have a problem with theirs

If you are connected to a remote unit (ISAM, MSAN, UMC, etc.) then there is a chance that you will lose service. If you are connected directly to a switch back at the exchange building then you should be OK. That exchange has 2x 1800 kvA diesel generators with several 1000L diesel tanks!!

MSANs etc are a sore point ATM, I'm 3.4km from the exchange and was informed 2 weeks ago by the technician who sorted out a corroded joint between the pole and my jack that there are no plans to upgrade our area in the near future so I'm stuck on 10mbps max :(

Maybe someone’s been syphoning their diesel and they've only just found out :D

Load shedding has been suspended! Group 7 manages to avoid it entirely.
