Port Elizabeth, Summerstrand Exchange problems?

Hi

Is anybody having problems on the Summerstrand exchange?
Not at home at the moment but when i left this morning my ADSL line is syncing but there is no connectivity.
My folks have phoned me complaining about the the same problem, they are on the same exchange as me.

Will investigate thoroughly when I get home after work....
 
maybe updates for 10mb going on ?

i'm on the linton grange exchange..been rebooting like crazy ho[ing for the magical 10 mbps...

My home line is back up (logged in using log me in on my home PC), but still syncing at 4mb/s....
Not sure about my folks will phone them or swing by after work to see if theres is also back up, they only on a 384 line so doubt that they will be affected....

Latest rumour i heard for our upgrades to 10mb is end of August early September....
 
yeah, thats probably if we are lucky..
at least im still synching at 4mb as well...

but i'm going to have faith in telkom ( don't laugh) that we get upgrades around that time.
 
yeah, me too!

anyway, gotta go..

having problems updating my iPhone to OS 4.02...

keeps telling me i have no network connection, yet here i am surfing the net..
 
Lorraine had the same issue - PE wide issue?

I had the same issue in Lorraine (041) 368xxxx so seems to be a PE wide problem and/or maitenance work

the only network notification i could see for PE area is the below

Ummmm.... don't bother resetting your modem/router in the hope of going to 10mbps. Summerstrand and Linton Grange are not in this batch to be upgraded.
