Select your model, select your application.

The reason for port forwarding is that when using it in "active mode" your router becomes the gateway to your LAN and its IP range; so if someone is to connect to you (your routers external IP) it will forward the specific port to a local IP on your LAN. You can't forward the same port to two IP's on the same network - logic explains.
When you're in "direct connect" your PC has its own external IP therefor port forwarding isn't required.

Thanx for the quick response...... Jsheed_Sa the model of my router (Billion W40) is not available on the the www.portfoward.com list...... :( Im a huuuuugggeeee NOOB!

And Ry4n, in DC when you passive then you cant download from other passive users. So you are restricted. Or so I think, and what I have heard. Im so confused now.....
