port forward doesn't work either
I have also found it impossible to forward ports on this modem. I have tried both the latest firmware from billion and from telkomsa with the same results.
I have been using nmap to determine port status:
PORT STATE SERVICE
21/tcp open ftp
23/tcp open telnet
80/tcp open http
The above are default open ports on the router. I have not been able to open any other ports. I might see if it's possible through telnet to the router.
I have also spent a number of days scouring the web for information on resolving this. There are plenty of complaints and no solutions as far as I can see.
I've also been having issues with wpa. The router config seems to corrupt or shorten the wpa key and I have not been able to connect at all. Using wep at the moment.
All up I'm very disappointed with this router. I'm probably going to bite the bullet and replace it as it's out of warranty with Telkomsa.
EDIT: The above ports are from an internal scan, forgot I don't have a proxy on this network. I've not been able to open any ports and external scan shows everything locked down. NAT port foward seems to have no effect at all, likewise the IP filters also seem to do nothing. It appears port forwarding is not an option with this router...

Did you actually have this router configured with port forwarding working? If so on what firmware were you working?

ARRRGHHHHH!!! I scream a long long long time! 2 weeks I've spent trying to open non default ports with this modem.
Where I come from, Australia, a 'shaped adsl account' is an account that when it has gone over it's quota of Gigabytes is restricted to a 64kB/s speed limit down from whatever it's adsl speed is.
Apparently over here a 'shaped adsl account' is an account that only has basic port 21-23 + 80 + 110 + 443 +1503 + 1720 access! No one told me this and to me it's such a ridiculous idea I never even considered it. Once again ARRRGHHHHH!!!
This is just so out of my experience. I have never heard of such a thing. I know of ISP's blocking port 25 and a few other ports for security reasons but an actual account that only has half a dozen accessible ports? WTF!!!? So I must apologize to billion and the 5102 modem as it appears it works fine. It's the stupid bloody ISP and their stupid bloody account setup that's been causing all my grief. Honestly, I feel like exploding!
On the plus side I suppose I've learnt an awful lot about ssh and modem/adsl configurations as I've reset everything half a dozen times... sheesh.
