I use emule but I cannot figure out how to set up port forwarding. I have configured the Wireless Gateway to allow free passage to ports 4662 and 4672, at least I think I have done it correctly. I have gone into NAT and put in my IP as the originating but I don't know what to put as the destination IP. I suppose it's either the Gateways or it's emules? I am not a novice but this business of networking and wireless setups does my brain in. I am using the ethernet connection at present as I couldn't set up the wireless side, even with Telkoms help (ha ha).

What IP number have you setup your PC on ?

When you NAT (port forward),you direct external traffic that accesses your router on a specific port to an IP address on your internal network.

Assuming your router is is 192.168.0.1 and your PC is set at 192.168.0.2, then you would set 192.168.0.2 as the destination of ports 4662 and 4672.

The originating IP should be blank, meaning that data from any external IP address is allowed to access the specified PC on your internal network.

I have used my own IP for the NAT setup. It was the firewall setup that required origination and destination and I put in "any".
I have performed a TCP test between emule and my computer and the result was my ports weren't found. What I find strange is that when I first had the service I got great download speed and in fact exceeded the cap by 2.25 Gb (then I got throttled). This month after start up the upload is hunky dory but the download is pathetic. I have a sneaky feeling that Telkom are now managing my connection, but maybe that's paranoia? Is there something else that I should do in Network Connections?
Thank you.

ports 4662 and 4672 are shaped to hell... change the ports to some random numbers above 6k
