Port Forwarding?

need some help here please

using uTorrent to download stuff, downloads seem to work fine although it tells me my port forwarding isn't working correctly. not sure what that means and according to the help page there's something to do with a static ip

could someone please educate me here? i use dsl and mweb is my sp
 
Hi mate, there is a great site called www.portforward.com, if you plan to do some reading please check it out! It lists how to forward your ports AND you can even browse by the model of your router!

Within uTorrent, you can click on the little yellow/red exclamation mark at the bottom of the window, there you can specify the port you wish to have Utorrent communicate with!

Shouldnt have to, Utorrent just warns incase you have got a firewall blocked all ports...
If it downloads fine, and the speeds go in accordance to your line, then you shouldnt have an issue.
If you are in bridging mode, no port forwarding is required.
 
thanks.. yeah its downloading at the right speed for my line :) so will just leave it
