Port Forwarding

Yes that's where I have been reading up on it for the past day. But my menu does not allow me to execute the stuff they tell you to on the site. I need an alternative.

On a firewall a rule would be something like this: protocol TCP, Inbound allow/permit Local port [number], remote Any, program (specify)

Means from any port on an outside machine, a connection comes in to your pc and connects to your open port which is received by the program you are forwarding to. Like utorrent has port 55440 open, any other persons pc's torrent is sending data to your pc by this route

Be careful of opening too many ports as hackers can (and will) gain entry to your PC through the opened ports.

you also have to find out your ip address for your computer on the netowrk, then set it to always use that IP address. then on the port forwarding page/firewall pg you have to enter that number

o ya i saw that program does it work?automatically sets up port forwarding and opens and closes ports when necessary?

Okay well I disabled my firewall, and now everything is working. Seems like port forwarding won't be necesarry anymore.

But now you dont have a NAT firewall. :o

So if you dont have a firewall running your next question will be how do I get rid of spyware and where is all my bandwidth going
