Hi guys

Im specifically focusing on warcraft III online here..
So lets say I am hosting a game of dota right? I port forward my ports..
Is it possible that someone could hack into the forwarded ports?
And if so what kind of damage could the hacker possibly do to my computer..

If you open any port on your router, and have that port forwarded to a PC on your network, it would be possible but rather unlikely, that someone could gain access and exploit your system. There would have to either be a vulnerability in the Warcraft III server code allowing them to gain access to your pc, OR another program/server could be listening on that port when you aren't hosting a game AND that program/server would have to be vulnerable to attacks.

It's highly unlikely that someone could exploit this, provided that you keep your open ports to a minimal amount and don't run any dodgy services which have known vulnerabilities.
