Port Scan - Attempts

Where does bitdefender say the scans are coming from?

The scans come from IP addresses in Algeria, Serbia and China. Its the same 3 IP addresses over and over again. I'm currently running the GRC Shields Up scan again. I accidentally closed it before the scan should complete.

I just would like to thank everyone for the advice and patience.

Is bit defender running on your windows pc? It should not be detecting incoming port scans. These shouldbe blocked on your router.

Just to be safe I'd run a AV/malware scan on all your internal devices.

Just to clarify a point, should my Routers own Firewall be blocking the Port Scan before BitDefender initiates its own block? Does anyone know how I could tell whether my Router is blocking the Port Scan?

Yup, Bit Defender is running on my Windows PC and it has the option to Select the blockage of Port Scans. I'm really not sure how to go about checking whether my Router is indeed blocking the scans. I'm on the Asus Router page and have found the Firewall page, however it mentions nothing about blocking Port Scans nor does it give any indication of a Alert history etc.

The router should be blocking the port scans and they should never reach your PC. (Unles you have a bunch of ports open port forwarded to your PC)

I think the Router is blocking them since the settings state that I have enabled the Router Firewall and have Enabled DDOS Protection. The Router is set to NOT respond to Ping Attempts and Logged Packet Types is set to None.

Router should be blocking the scans then.

Run a AV scan your PC. Scans shouldn't be hitting it.

Awesome! Thank you SO much for all your help! This is such a relief. I ran a Anti Virus Scan on both Malwarebytes and BitDefender, both have come up squeaky clean.
