Portable Game Console under 1.5k

Hi All,
I'm looking to get a second hand portable console...
looking at PS Vita - can find them around 1500.. but few and far between where i live.. PE

Alternative options will be PSP or Nintendo.. but not that familiar with their consoles apart from the Wii
What will be the equivalent Nintendo be perhaps that rivals the Vita?


Any advice/suggestions will be welcome..

The Nintendo 3DS I'd say

But they are still quite expensive.
Not sure what the second hand market is like.
 
PS vita wasn't very well supported
 
Nintendo 3DS gets my vote too.

There are a few on the local Gumtree, but maybe check again after Christmas once all the kids (and adults) get their new toys and flog the old ones for some spare cash
 
A good deal on the PS Vita though... It is a pretty awesome console with a few good games. I bought the 3DS though, probably the device I spend the most gaming time on. Really great for holidays.
 
Picked up PS Vita (1st gen), 4gb memory card, game, charger, and case for R1200 on gumtree. There are a lot floating around recently.

Needed a 2nd remote for my PS4, and to play overcooked with my wife :-)
