Hi Guys, need some help. Looking for a little portable HDMI dongle (raspberry pi kind of thing). The hardware needs to have the following:

1) HDMI out
2) Android/Ubuntu
3) 720p capability
4) 3G (This is a must for my device)

Anything on the market at a reasonable price? I know there are android tablets that do HDMI etc, but I don't need the screen to be attached to the device, happy to plug it in via a cable or directly. The smaller the better, must not need external power source if possible. (Power via HDMI preferable, not sure if possible)

Any thoughts? I also need quite a few of these, so not keen to get in line and wait for a Raspberry Pi.

Thanks,
Phiber

Look at liliputing.com, there are a number of devices there that should be pretty close to what you are asking for.

I doubt any of them will have built in 3G, but you could add a 3G dongle to get what you need.

My phone does all that +1080P

What do you need it for?

You're very cryptic. Why not say what you need it for so that we can actually help you?

Building an all in one solution tailor made for a customer (can't really gives the details as its the clients solution and thats why it seems so cryptic). The 3G requirement is order to ensure the device can persist the required data.

@abzo, the Micca looks great but I need to deploy my own app to this, thats why Android/Unix is preferable. I won't just be playing back video.

@AstroTurf, you are a genius!!! Anyone know what the video play back capability is of the Galaxy Ace? What device would you recommend?

Thanks everyone for the input.
