Hi

Any advise on a smart portable music speaker?

Budget?
When you say 'smart'...?

Smart as possible. Wana buy once to include parties for the youngsters in the future. Love big bass and house music but that's been an anomaly recently. 5k ish?

I bought a Poloroid speaker a few years ago (2-3 years) and basically took the front speaker out, snipped the cable running to the shitty battery that came with the thing (R300 total cost of device, so you can imagine the shitty battery) - then attached an external powerbank to that cable, and mounted the power bank to the side of the device. I now have a BT speaker that lasts literally 10's of hours and can charge a phone and also be on charge while in use for a lower cost than something of similar spec.

Recently discovered that the TWS (True Wireless Surround) feature is available on some portable speaker types.

Essentially, two portable speakers can be synced up to play audio.

If placed correctly near you, it feels like the headphones/earphones experience, but without anything touching you.

HiFi Corp currently has a special until 10 April on AV Love stock, which feature speakers that are 3 inches wide and outputs 10W instead of the usual 3W or 5W that is common on the alternatives on the market.
