I tried but you can't send the discount to someone else, the only way is to buy the game first as a gift.
Or am I wrong?

There's no option to give the voucher as a gift...but I'll try again tomorrow morning when I get back from work.

In your steam friends list, select the friend and select the option "want to trade"

Then send the voucher

Someone took it. Check out Steam's forums, there are a lot of these vouchers being given away!

The co-op is awesome! Really a fun and interesting game
