So I've been using CellC (prepaid) for roughly a year and a half now and I'm considering a move to Telkom Mobile as I have no interest in returning to Vodascum.
Despite CellC's mostly empty claims of investing millions into their network it just seems like during the time period I've been with them my overall service experience has not improved. I still get as many dropped calls, random loss of signal and ****ty data throughput as I had in the beginning.
The last straw for me was when my mates and I were playing pool at the bowling alley at Brightwater Commons (Randburg) last week Saturday and the entire time while we were in the building I had ZERO f**king service while my mates on Vodascum had 3G coverage and were "WhatsApping", sending photos/videos and going about their business as usual. This is not the first time that in the middle of a popular suburb my smartphone was relegated to a fancy paperweight.
From what I've read on here, signal wise, most folks are pretty happy with Telkom Mobile and the call quality seems to be top notch but I guess more input from Telkom subscribers won't hurt.
