Hi there. I want to port from Celc to Vodacom but not sure if that's possible while still in contract with Celc. I'm really fed up with the poor cell signal everywhere i go and have heard that Vodacom is pretty stable on signal quality most areas and data speed because that is important for me.
Any reply will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Pieter

Just a quick note, the one thing I experience with my cell c number that has been ported to Vodacom is that some (40%) of my calls sound hollow (outgoing calls only) even if I call voda to voda. Also I occasionally get "No Service" error which is quickly resolved with a phone restart, this happens about once a week. Other than that life is good on voda.

change settings to 2g when making calls and see if any better

You can cancel with Cell C at any time, but you need to give at least a months notice. If you phone them they will tell you the amount you still owe on your phone to settle the contract and SMS you an account no to pay the amount into.
