i recently got a new contract deal with Vodacom, due to a miscommunication my need to port my old (Cell C) number was overlooked so i now have a new contract with a new number. i would like to keep my old number as i have used the same number for 10 years and i am not looking to change it. how can this be done?

I have not used this new contract yet, it is still as it was when i signed for it. i dont not what to change anything else, besides the number. i just want to keep my old number.

Please assist

If contracted that you port your number then contract is not fulfilled and invalid. IMO

Did the contract on your old Cell C number expire? If so, contact them yourself and ask Cell C to convert the number to prepaid.
Then contact Vodacom....they're you're new service provider....they should contact Cell C on your behalf to port the number over.

Not sure about this new number on contract and if you'll have additional costs to reverse/cancel that number.

Alternatively, PM the vodacom representative on this forum to have a look into the matter

I do know that if the terms of the contract are supposed to be met and both parties must be satisfied.

Nope.

Its beside the point...this is something you fix by speaking to vodacom, not by involving lawyers.

Also..NB you must speak to the Voda guys where you signed up...other branches seem to have limited powers.
