Porting Telkom FMC mobile number

Hey everyone. So I've had this number for as long as i can remember and at some point made the mistake of porting to Telkom on a FMC package. The service was never an issue but kow that I need to port out its impossible.

Has anyone achieved this successfully and if so, how have you done this? Anyone out there can help me save myself for losing my mind trying to sort this our?

First prize would be you ask Telkom to convert the contract sim to prepaid. From there porting out is super easy. (That might only work if your contract has run a while and you're on month-to-month)
