Anybody know of a free/Linux pos system for a small business.

errr, what do you mean?

I use IngeDev to develop apps for the POS device.

But what do you mean when you say "system"? There is a lot of stuff involved here.

I have used http://www.openbravo.com before and it works brilliantly. Easy to setup and configure, and most stuff just works out of the box.

I did however use it on Windows, I'm not sure if there is a Linux version.

Just to add, when you go to the website, it looks like you have to purchase the software, but if you poke around a bit more you will see there is a free download if you do not wish to have tech support

Looks like openbravo supports all major operating systems.
