Link-Up Internet is looking for an Wireless Network Technician to work in the Ballito Area. Previous experience is essential.
Duties:
• Planning and preparations of technical tasks, stock/materials, appointments
• Successful execute technical tasks
• Ensure due Customer care
• Practice efficient personal time management
• Perform, prepare and execute network construction and service implementation
• Perform, prepare and execute network maintenance, problem and incident management
• Strive for excellence and strict adherence to quality in technical tasks
• implement Project deliveries.
• Ability to work on within schedule and keep to time frame allocated
• Follow company Standard Operating Procedures
• Ability to work in a team (local and remote)
• Site surveys for high sites and clients
• Successful execution of preparation process (stock, material, jobcards, admin, travel etc.)
• Perform the required admin: jobcards, time registers, logbooks, surveys
• Following internal escalations and protocols to ensure quick and efficient resolution of issues, incidents
• Undertake work during business and non-business hours, or as required by the company, customers or vendors due to 27/4/365 operations
Requirements:
• A minimum of 2 year in the WISP industry
• Matric
• COMPTIA
• RF/Microwave Basics
• Structured cabling
• Fiber optic basics
• Valid drivers license
• Electrical circuits 101 AC/DC/Solar (Advantageous)
• Experience on Microsoft office.
• Microwave/Wi-Fi technology
• High sites Maintenance
• Working on masts
• Understanding of microwave systems
• Must be capable in setup of routers and AP’s (Wi-Fi-LAN)
• Must be capable in setup of wireless links
• Must be capable in setup of VOIP phones
• Some understanding of AC and DC electrical circuits

• Working with power tools and hand tools
