Item: Position available for Mid / Senior level JAVA developer
Location: Rivonia - JHB

We are a national Network Operator who physically constructs and maintains its own infrastructure in South Africa and a few African countries. We are looking for a software developer that has experience in creating a front end by connecting different open source application and ensure they are all integrated and working together
Key performance areas will include:
• Management of effort estimation based on business requirements
• Software Development based on system requirements
• Technical design of new systems & components
• Producing technical documentation
• Assisting business with development and review of system requirements
• Taking ownership - able to take responsibility, troubleshoot a problem and proactively implement resolutions, fault finding and reporting
• Research on open source software that would best suite our needs and incorporating this into our front end.
Skills required:
• B.Sc. computer science or other related degree, or relevant working experience
• Some kind of JAVA certifications
• Strong knowledge of JAVA language and related technologies. Must be able to jump right in to professional development
• J2EE & EJB3.1
• JDBC & SQL query writing
• Strong relational database skills (PostgreSQL & MySQL)
