Possible to order ADSL online?

I am busy setting up internet at my parents' place now, I tried to phone Telkom to order it but they say only the account holder can place orders over the phone. She said I should try online, but every time I want to place an order it forces me to select a router even though I don't want one. Am I in the right place or is there another online portal to do orders?

No, went through the same route, you can't order without buying a router.
What I did was phoned the sales line (10210) from the landline (since you said your parents are the account holders, I assume they have a landline already), got one of my parents to quickly talk to the operator and give me permission to handle the order, then I proceeded with the order.

Just get one of your parents to OK the operator to talk to you. They record all calls, so it's enough for them to get authorisation from the account holder.

Edit: By the way, took only 2 or 3 days for line to be activated, was rather impressed.

I think next time when I call I'm just going to pretend that I am my father - they won't know if I don't tell them.

Also, it's stupid that you can't proceed with the order without the modem as on the front page it says you can use your own modem if you want:

How am I suppose to confirm the order if I can't click next!
