Possible to remove this cpu cooler bracket from the motherboard?

I just want to put in a normal cooler. Otherwise what other coolers can be screwed in?

If it does in fact have double sided tape it should be pretty worn down seeing as it's a LGA775 board.

Yup it had double sided tape, and no it was still sticky as hell.
Had to slightly lift one side first, wedge a flat plastic card in cutting some of the adhesive and doing the same for the other side.
