i have an old iburst UTD (grey/white) connected to my desktop via a USB cable.
i can log on fine and get decent reception (best -77 and ave -90 on uttracestar). the problem is that after 5-10min i can no longer get any internet traffic. the modem is still connected and i still have signal but a tracert can't resolve any addresses. if i unplug the usb cable and plug it back in i can redial and connect again.
the pc is running XP home, is it an XP problem perhaps? or a usb setting somewhere. i disabled power management on the usb ports.
when i use my laptop with XP pro i have no problems at all.
