Hi all,

If you've got a few minutes to spare please contribute.

I’m currently conducting Master’s research pertaining to Software Development professionals and which factors influence remuneration within the industry.
Secondary to this are a few questions relating to the Software Developer subculture for added insight and potential correlation to other collected data within the research area.

All data captured is strictly confidential and anonymous, the data will only be used for the purposes of this research endeavour.
None of the raw data collected will be made available to any third-party. Aggregated data will form part of the final research document and presentation deliverables.

Should you like to participate please use the link below.

Notes:
1. if you are remunerated in a currency other than South African Rand (ZAR) feel free to use the “other” option and use the currency symbol of your choice.
2. the survey closes end of day Friday (25th November 2016) so please follow the link before then if you are interested in participating.

Feel free to ask any additional questions you may have.

Many thanks.

Just a note: Hadoop and Cassandra are both databases and both used on nodes in the Cloud. I would replace them both with MapReduce and CQL which is more relevant to the programming against those two respectively. I would also remove Cloud.

Much appreciated. Will bear that in mind in future, unfortunately cannot change this now as this has been sent out and I already have quite a few responses. Hopefully developers working in those areas can come to the same conclusion you have.
