I am currently unable to rent a post office box at my local Post Office.

My local Post Office has boxes available but the manager says that they need to have their locks replaced. He states that it is Telkom's job to replace the locks and that they haven't showed up to do their job. Regardless, I submitted my name to the waiting list two weeks ago but nothing has come of it.

Are there any alternatives to the Post Office that charge around the same amount per year to rent a post box?

Telkom, locks? It was the Post Office that bought the locks for post boxes when I was in the industry.

The post office has been striking for over a month, it's unlikely that anything would have been possible in the last two weeks.

Yep, maybe I didn't get the whole story but that is what he said. I was surprised myself.

What about street delivery?
It's free.
Indeed, however I was hoping to keep my residential and business address separate.

Postnet looks promising. Will give them a try.
