Firstly they lying.
Years ago I insured the SAPO and they, in their main centres had CCTV already.

Stealing packages is just another day at the office for them.

I can be the sunny optimist on any day about any other SOE, usually because they have a monopoly. I can't ever say that about the Post Office, even under the best of management it will be too little too late, it would be best to sell the damn thing

I vaguely remember a story many years ago where they tried to use the CCTV footage to discipline some workers for stealing, and the unions had a hissy fit and they had to back down on using the CCTV footage.

They're just adding extra steps to the theft. Now the postal workers need to share the goodies with the security guards every now and then.
