Post Office workers must stop strike: Parliament

Yes, of course..

They will just do exactly what you guys say... Muppets.

Hopefully next they tell the criminals to stop doing crime eh?

Am sure there are millions more competent ready to replace them

Work?! Isn't SAPO just a social welfare experiment testing cadre-enrichment and wealth redeployment? That items of post got delivered in the past seems more like a happy - though explainable - side effect of SAPO's existence.

Seriously, at one point I had some empathy for the workers (and I use that term very loosely) since the SAPO management - just like their management in government - have been monumentally useless. But after almost 4 months of not receiving bills (yes, not all of us can get all our bills online or via email), parcels, magazines (wish Discovery would allow electronic subscription) or anything else I'm entitled to receive as a SAPO customer, empathy has unfortunately decayed to outright disdain.

bwhahaha. Are the ministers going to hold their breath until SAPO workers comply?

The strike will have affected their jobs to the point where there has to be retrenchments and downscaling. They have effectively put themselves out of work, so why should they return to work now?

Only crap thing is. all international parcels from outside comes in via SAPO (it has to goto SAPO-CUSTOMS)

So all your International imports, being either gadgets or books or clothing.. It's all going to JIMC first to get sorted. (Johannesburg International Mail Centre)

As of last month, i'm still waiting for one of my parcels to clear at JIMC (but yes, it's been such a long time. I'm honnest by saying i'm worried about that parcel. As you all know During the strike they have been burning vehicles with goods in them)

There is also no way of finding out where the parcel is or even if it's safe (as the public don't have access to go check themselves). Tracking numbers don't work, cause "Fresca" is being scanned. *fresca = nothing*

So for now... there is nothing one can do except wait and pray.
