RSSI level and a signal strength

The higher the RSSI value, the stronger the signal. When measured in negative numbers, the number that is closer to zero usually means better signal. As an example -50 is a pretty good signal, -75 - is fairly reasonable, and -100 is no signal at all.

Mine is -39

For inside its great -if you mount yours outside Im sure you will get in your -30- -36's as your speeds are fantastic for inside already

You and @powermzii have the exact same RSSI - with great speeds -you both get over 300's -my max is 285 but its because of the distance to my preferred tower 3.47km

I also have it indoors at a window. I did not mount it outside on a poll. Speeds are really good actually.

Oh my gosh if you both do a mount outside 400-600mbs would be in your reach easily -for indoors those are crazy speeds. Are you considering mounting it outside ? With over 300 inside I would be over the moon those are great speeds. Since my speeds was extremely poor inside outside was my only option. Im just worried about lightning damage

Yeah I just need them to sort out the latency.

Mine is also outside on an 8 meter pole at the top end of the roof, so its prolly about 10.5 meters in the air, my NR signal intensity is normally -73db and signal quality is between 10 - 13db, yet i don't see half the speed you guys are getting, like I'll get that at 3 in the morning...

If this is what R999 gets you I might as well just cancel. Also note that the RSSI is only for 4g. The previous rain person I spoke to, Thurston B, just said that the speed will drop during peak times, and that if I'm struggling I should connect on 5ghz, after explaining to him numerous times that it's directly connected to 1gbps lan. #dissapointed

How far are you from your closest tower ?Your speed test is this with a cable or wireless ? Dont that tower have alarms on it -Rain have lots of issues with fault alarms and that degrade the speed allot

You should kill it - Sound if that tower has fault alarms on it. The tower I connect to had fault alarms and i got a full 4mbs from it -I complained they fixed it eventually

Rain isn't doing anything about it, they keep saying I need to move the router around in the house and "optimize", but on their website is says i am connecting to a tower 58 kilometers away

Might as well get the R699 package if you do not have fibre.

I was on the R699 package, need more speed, went to premium, worked flawlessly for like a month and half, and since then it's been like this
