Radio 2000 ran this same question today and there were some very interesting opinions so post your predictions here. It'd be nice to hear who you think will make it in the Cricket WC in Windies. My predictions are:

- South Africa
- Australia
- West Indies
- New Zealand

SA and Aus in the finals hopefully and SA to whip the the crap out of them and take the cup and then come home and win the Pro 20 World Cup in September. Hehe well done boys on a great summer of cricket! :)
 
I think the New Zealand spot is the only one that'll change with people's predictions. Lots of people today on radio predicted Sri Lanka in that spot.

I'm certaintly not picking what most people choose, cause that aint gonna happen.
 
SA, Aus, West Indies and India (who don't seem to play that badly over there).

Wanna see a SA vs. West Indies final - we have a score to settle with them :D We always seem to cream them but they have a knack of beating us in the major competitions ('96 WC, '03 WC, ICC CT last year).

Pakistan/SriLanka [depending if pakistan have a few blinding games when the other teams least exepect it]
 
lol Boodles if countries actually take their form through to the WC theres a very good chance our predictions will be right unless those teams get food poisoning or something (touch wood for SA) hehe.

H_GP yeah I was also pissed when Windies beat us in the ICC and knocked us out :(. Not to worry the REAL cup is coming to SA.

Edit. Even though I predicted Aus in the final 4 I got a feeling they're not gonna perform to potential, maybe 'cause of this whole Symonds thing.
 
I'm not much of a cricket fan but will make an effort to watch the WC. What time is kick off? :p
 
Feo DSTV definitely will, I'm guessing that SABC would probably show the SA matches and from the Super 8's onwards. Don't think that something like Netherlands vs. Scotland would attract enough ratings for them to air it.
 
Yeah thats what I thought...I don't have DStv thats why I ask. But if they show from the Super 8's (isn't it Super 6's?) that'd still be good..
 
There's four groups and top 2 from each group go through. The major test-playing teams will probably go through. Unless Bangladesh, Zimbabwe or Kenya pull a miracle :D
