My wife being a shorty (hehe) looked at me last night and said I'll be Hunched when we get older..... I went "WTF !"

Then I realised I had a "Lazy Spine". Where one walks with the shoulders hanging and the hips kinda pressed forward.

So I made a concious choice to walk up right and tighten my lower back mucles. This in turn forces my Bums out a bit to the back and also pulls my shoulders up.

Now since this morning, my lower back is a little stiff but I now walk like that sub-consiously. Yipee :) but now there is a problem......

Never realised my belly is so damn big :D

lol, posture is also a problem for me.. When sitting at the computer try hooking your feet behind the legs of the chair.. It will automatically adjust your posture..

or, dumb as it might look, get one of those exercise balls, and use it in the place of your chair at your desk...

...but yeah, i think a lot of people including myself could better our postures

Best thing is to have strong stomach muscles. Do situps (crunchies) daily. You will also get strong back muscles that will benefit your posture without you having to concentrate on it the whole time.

Whahahahahahahahaha pit, dude get off the beer :p

dude, so some seated row's, lat pull-downs and low cable rows. you're shoulders are being pulled forward by your chest muscles because you're back muscles are too weak and thus theres an imbalance. by strengthening your back, your shoulders will automatically be pulled back, so you wouldn't even have to think about it (also, you get a nice V going). not only will you appear taller but the better posture will make you seem more confident as well. so lay off the bench pressing and pushups for now...
what you can also try is to do core exercises, these will also help improve your posture and help get rid of that belly.
supposedly building muscle burns more fat than doing cardio (thats what mens health has brainwashed me into believing at least) so if you gym, do exercises that target multiple muscle groups and for cardio do interval training (go to a rugby field and do pyramid sprints etc) for 15-20 minutes.
