Potassium Hydroxide is very similar to Sodium Hydroxide which is drain cleaner. Do some research and find out if you can use the latter.
Sodium Hydroxide is available at most shops and cheap. Different amounts available as well. Just take care not to buy the one with aluminum shavings in. I don't know which bright SPARKY's idea it was to pollute the pure mixture...

For future reference.

Or if in a pinch and you need a small amount. Take pure non Iodine Potassuim salt saturated in distilled water , A small piece of zinc metal and pencil leads and and make pure KOH with Electrolysis.

The utmost care should be taken as Chemistry to the layman is like a magnifying glass to the ant...
