Hi all

Where, in Johannesburg preferably, can I get my potjie pot enamelled?

Thanks

Is cleaning the cast iron surface too much of a hassle?

You could try someone like this:
http://superbrefurbishers.co.za/

I have no idea if this sort of enamelling would stand up to cooking though. And as other have mentioned the cost of the enamelling may well outweigh just buying new.

Actually, just read the blurb, that type of enamelling will not work.

Continental Enamelling in Isando used to re-enamel a #3 potjie for R395. However, they are now under Business Rescue and no longer provide this service.

I realise this is a holy thread necro Batman. Are there any companies around offering porcelain enamel services? Googling only seems to bring up bath enamelling services and I'm not sure that's what I'm looking for.

I recently picked up a Weber Go Anywhere on Marketplace for a good price. Unfortunately there is a bit of damage to the enamel and consequently some rust. It is a relatively old model with the old light grey handles so I'm sure if it's lasted this long the rust is mostly surface.

However I like to 'restore' these oldish Webers and kind of bring them back to life. So if there is a company doing potjie enamelling then maybe they could help me

Would also be cool to do a different colour like an emerald green or classic Weber red maybe.

Also looking into having the legs and grid re-nickle plated.

Preferably in KZN
