The Polokwane municipality in Limpopo has appealed to residents to use water sparingly as Eskom's power cuts caused water shortages in some areas, a spokeswoman said on Tuesday.
"Already some residential areas within the city and other areas are affected by water shortage," Tidimalo Chuene said in a statement.
Reservoir levels were very low and high-lying areas were most affected.
"The municipality is working on sourcing more water tankers to provide temporary aid to affected areas. A water tanker will be moving between the affected areas," she said.
