Power outage AGAIN in Roodepoort

Power was cut again this morning at exactly 06:30 in Strubensvalley/Wilgeheuwel.

City Plonkers er... City Power says it is a fault. Yeah right!

Power was restored just before 10:00

Total outage time: almost 4 hours

Can you say load-shedding in the guise of a fault

I'm in Helderkruin/Wilro Park and we had no power outage then, but we had two in two successive nights both lasting 3-4 hours as well about a week ago. funnily enough it wasnt a full outage - just a few houses on my street, and half of my house was lit while the other wasnt. We do have 3 phase power so obviously a phase went down.

You say "AGAIN" in your thread title... when last and how often do you get these outages?

We had a massive outage 2 weeks ago- was without power for 12 hours. We often get "micro" outages- where the power goes out for between 250mS and 15 seconds. It damages computers and other sensitive stuff.

yeah i also noticed the power was out when i was on my way to work this morning, good to hear its back now, thanks turiko. this is getting ridiculous now, why cant they just fix the problem first time? pfftt

I will continue to post here about power outages in the area and will continue to demand answers from City Power.
