1. Eskom doesn't base the load shedding stages on the non-dispatchable power, so no matter if the wind is bringing in 2.2GW it's not the reason
2. OCGTS weren't run as much as everyone seems to think it was

Hourly demand is compared against available capacity, to indicate the amount of surplus/shortfall there was. Available capacity must be matched with the total RSA contracted demand.

It's fine. We made up for it at the coast with lots of windy weather the last couple of days. Those wind turbines were marching along.Anyway... was nearly a dangerous day, Jo'burg had TONS of mist this morning... but clearing now

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our minister of electricity Mr Engineer for all this hard work he has put in place to ensure loadshitting has come to and end.
