People in Nevada will laugh at us when we're saying 37c is too hot and a heatwave, When to them, it's just a normal day in July.

So, to me it seems silly to mock the British for moaning about the heatwave.

Yeah they're probably laughing at us when we complain about hitting 14C.

We get 3 months of cold a year, they get 3 months of warmth a year. I think we have the better deal...

The thing is - there are definitely some people within the green movement who want to ban all coal. I simply posted it to illustrate that fossil fuels still have a role to play, even if it is a relatively minor one.

Also out of that 3 months it's probably really July that is really cold

We do, in terms of weather. And when we go down to under 10c and start moaning about how cold it is; I know they'll be calling us sissy's

I bet Canada mocks the UK when they moan that its cold - Canadians will think 10c is summer when some parts are -15c on most winter days.

See how silly it is to mock other countries for weather?

Yea but the fringe environmentalists are nutjobs. They don't want nuclear either and that's arguably one of the cleanest sources of energy humanity has ever discovered.

Fact remains the UK's energy approach is still very green.

Also their homes and businesses are designed to keep the heat in, ours are the opposite.

We used to have Swedish suppliers who would be here in July in shorts and t-shirts

My wife used to laugh at me in July when I would be all dressed up for the weather and she'd have a summer outfit on. Since she's adapted though - a day like today, is cold to her.
