Yeah who knows but anything after midnight is really not neededI think the politicians just got over ambitious, now running scared again - they only work in extremes.

The demand must be voes with this **** cold temps. And why the change from 4pm to 2pm now - 'cos the day starts to cool after 2pm?![]()

Was bad, but it's improved quite a bit, though the niece did use the oven quite a bit today so that probably didn't helpLoad shifting. If half the country is going to be load shed between 4pm and 10pm, there is a strong incentive to do stuff earlier. And batteries need to be charged due to poor solar today.
Yeah they just moving the goalpostsHowever it's now from 2pm everyday.
Not a convincing explanation though - even when it was Stage 6, it usually started from 4pm not 2PM and you'd think there'd be bigger load-shifting when Stage 6 is around compared to Stage 4. Also no-one has supper at 2PM.Load shifting. If half the country is going to be load shed between 4pm and 10pm, there is a strong incentive to do stuff earlier. New extra winter precaution methinks. But that would be guessing again, so I won't say that.. ;- )Yeah they just moving the goalposts

Sure, but not enough capacity to pump the water back if everyone is sleeping with their heaters on.Demand drops dramatically at night
Who knows these days - we're off at 8pm again so having supper soonAlso no-one has supper at 2PM.
I'm off now, 4-6pm. Hopefully it doesn't trip when the power comes back. I'll send a reminder to the whatsapp group to keep their heaters and geysers off for 30 minutes.Who knows these days - we're off at 8pm again so having supper soon
